PART FOUR HUNDRED SEVENTY FIVE
Hikmah #4741
“No matter how hard and sometimes it could
be unbearable to observe fasting of the heart
and soul, never give up for it is the most holy
battle within us, and even if you can not win
the battle even in at the end of your life, you
will leave this world as a shuhada spiritually.”
~ Yos Wiyoso Hadi (Moharram 5, 1395AH – )
Hikmah #4742
“Adam, Enoch, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph,
Job, Jonah, Zechariah and most prophets of
Allah never fought in the battlefield yet their
maqam (spiritual station) is higher than any
shuhada for they all did observe fasting of
the heart and soul in most of their lifetime.”
~ Wiyoso Hadi (Moharram 5, 1395AH – )
Jabir (Allah be pleased with him) narrates; “The Prophet of Allah (Allah bless him and grant him peace) returned from one of his battles, and thereupon told us, ‘You have arrived with an excellent arrival, you have come from al-jihad al-asghar (lesser jihad) to al-jihad al-akbar (greater jihad) – the striving of a servant (of Allah) against his ego.'”
[ As recorded by Imam Khatib al-Baghdadi in Tarikh Baghdad, Hafiz al-Daylami (Allah have mercy on him) in al-Firdaws and Imam al-Bayhaqi (Allah have mercy on him) in al-Zuhd al-Kabir. (Faydh al-Qadir, 4:511) ]
