Hikmah #1141
“Fana fi hadi, egoless in God’s chosen guide means
that you absorb yourself in the heart, the mind and
the spirit of your true guide so that you will feel like
your guide feels, think like your guide thinks and act
righteously like your guide do. In that circumstance,
whenever your guide receive heavenly knowledge,
you will receive it too because you are now one with
your guide’s heart, mind, spirit and purpose of life
though in different bodies and living in another land.”

“Your guide (hadi) may a living saint, deceased saints
or one or some of the prophets. As for all Yaran Shah
e-Mardan, they all are fana fi hadi in Shah e Mardan.”

“O you who have believed, fear Allah and seek the means [of nearness through fana fi Awliya, fana fi nabi, fana fi lataif, fana fi Nur Muhammad] to Him and strive in His cause that you may succeed.”

“As for the majority they may find a living guide (hadi)
who is one of Yaran Shah e-Mardan and reach fana fi
Shah e-Mardan through fana fi Yaran Shah e-Mardan.”

“Those who are fana fi hadi in Shah e-Mardan Ali are
also fana fi adam (egoless in our brown father Adam),
fana fi idris (egoless in our black father Enoch), fana fi
nuh (egoless in our fair skin father Noah), fana fi musa
(egoless in Prophet Moses), fana fi ibrahim (egoless in
father Abraham) and fana fi isa (egoless in Jesus Christ).”

“For the majority, fana fi hadi means egoless in a true
living spiritual guide. For the sincere righteous ones,
fana fi hadi means egoless in either living saints or
deceased saints (fana fi awliya). For the saints, fana
fi hadi means egoless in the prophets (fana fi ambiya).”
