were named Abu Bakr, Uthman, and ‘Umar.”

“The first person who combined the Divine
Knowledge of Imam ‘Ali and the Heavenly
Secrets of Abubakr Siddiq was no one but
Imam Hassan, who passed that secrets to
Abdullah Ibn ‘Abbas, who passed them to
Qasim bin Muhammad bin Abubakr, who
passed them further to Ja’far as-Sadiq bin
Muhammad bin Ali bin Al-Hussayn bin Ali
through its Ali wal Abu Bakr Golden Chain.”

Zaid bin Yathi’i narrated: from Ali (ra) that he said: it was said to the messenger of Allah (saws), “Who becomes Ruler after you?” He (saws) replied, “If you (Muslims) choose Abu Bakr (ra) you will find him to be honest, a Zahed in this life and always seeking the afterlife. If you (Muslims) choose ‘Umar (ra) you will find him honest and strong, he does not fear anyone other than Allah. If you (Muslims) choose Ali (ra) and I do not see you doing this but if you do you will find him rightly guided and he will lead you to a straight path.”
