Unless one is humble, truthful, sincere, zuhud and

“Vanish your ego until egoless in God’s presence (fanafillah)
then the soul will be great and very loved in the sight of God.
And whoever is very loved by God will be great and very loved
by the angels, prophets, saints and all enlightened people.
That is the true servanthood and real spiritual authority
like those of Abraham, Moses, King David and Solomon.”

“Hilangkan ego-mu hingga tidak ber-ego dalam hadirat Allah (fanafillah)
maka jiwa akan menjadi mulia dan sangat dicintai di hadapan Allah.
Dan siapa pun yang sangat dicintai oleh Allah akan mulia dan sangat dicintai
oleh para malaikat, nabi, wali Allah dan semua orang yang tercerahkan.
Itu adalah kehambaan hakiki dan kewibawaan spiritual yang nyata
seperti yang dimiliki oleh Nabi Ibrahim, Musa, Raja Dawud dan Sulayman.”

“O Dawud (David)! Verily! We have placed you as a successor on earth, so judge you between men in HAQQ (Truth) and follow not your EGO for it will mislead you from the Path of Allah. Verily! Those who wander astray from the Path of Allah (shall) have a severe torment, because they forgot the Day of Reckoning.”
( Surat Sad verse 26 )
“Hai Dawud, sesungguhnya Kami menjadikan kamu khalifah (penguasa) di muka bumi, maka berilah keputusan (perkara) di antara manusia dengan Haqq (Benar) dan janganlah kamu mengikuti EGO, karena ia (ego) akan menyesatkan kamu dari jalan Allah. Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang sesat dari jalan Allah akan mendapat azab yang berat, karena mereka melupakan hari perhitungan.”

Ibn Mas’ud (RA) said: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “The haughty, even with pride (of EGO) equal to a mustard seed in his heart, will not enter jannah.”

“It shall be said: Enter the gates of hell to abide therein; so evil is the abode of the proud (sign of EGO).”
