PART TWENTY-EIGHT

 

Hikmah #271

“Today is the first day of the 1435th Muharram after Hegira

But in Heaven is still the same month of Muharram when our

father Adam (a’layhis salaam) and mother were created by God

Verily, we are heavenly descendants with worldly experience.”

[In Bahasa]

“Hari ini adalah hari pertama Muharam 1435 setelah Hijriyah

Namun di Surga masih bulan Muharam yang sama dengan saat

ketika bapak kita Adam (a’layhis salaam) dan ibu kita diciptakan Allah

Sungguh, kita adalah keturunan surgawi dengan pengalaman duniawi.”

“And they urge you to hasten the punishment. But Allah will never fail in His promise. And indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years of those which you count.”

( Surat Al-Haj verse 47 )

 

“He arranges [each] matter from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a Day, the extent of which is a thousand years of those which you count.”

( Surat As-Sajdah verse 5 )

 

“The angels and the Holy Spirit will ascend to Him during a Day the extent of which is fifty thousand years.”

( Surat Al-Ma`aarij verse 4 )

 

“He (Allah) will say: “What number of years did you stay on earth?” They will say: “We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep account.” He (Allah) will say: “You stayed not but a little, if you had only known! Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us? So Exalted be Allah, the True King, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne!”

( Surat Al-Mu’minuun verse 112-116 )

 

“People are asleep as long as they are alive; they are awakened when they (their ego) die.”

“We said: “Get down all of you from this place (higher parallel dimension of Heaven), then whenever there comes to you Guidance from Me, and whoever follows My Guidance, there shall be no fear on them, nor shall they grieve.”

( Surat al-Baqarah verse 38 )

 

Hikmah #272

“Do not ask the A’wliya’ Allah about what they see through their hearts

But busy yourself in purifying your heart and soul from ego

Then you will see what the A’wliya’ see through their hearts.”

[In Bahasa]

“Jangan tanyakan kepada para Wali Allah tentang

apa-apa yang mereka lihat melalui kalbu mereka

Tapi sibukanlah dirimu dengan mensucikan kalbu dan jiwamu dari ego

Maka engkau akan melihat apa yang Wali Allah lihat melalui kalbunya.”

“Harith ibn Malik al-Ansari (r) passed by the Prophet (SWS) who asked him, ‘How are you this morning, O Harith?’ and he replied, ‘This morning I am a true believer in Allah.’ The Prophet (SWS) said: ‘Take care of what you say, for everything has a proof to it, so what is the proof of your belief?’ He said: ‘I have turned myself away from this world by keeping awake at night and staying thirsty by day; and I can almost see the Throne of my Lord in full view before me, and I can see the people of the Garden visiting each other, and the people of the Fire wailing to each other.’ The Prophet (SWS) said, ‘O Harith! You have realized (the truth), therefore cling to it.’ Some versions add, ‘(This is) a believer whose heart Allah has illumined.”

Hikmah #273

“Purify your heart and soul from ego

Then the third eye will work for you.”

“Bersihkanlah kalbu dan jiwamu dari ego

Maka mata ketiga/mata batin akan bekerja untukmu.”

“Their likeness (of those who are not spiritually awake) is as the likeness of one who kindled a fire; then, when it lighted all around him, Allah took away their light and left them in darkness. (So) they could not see. They are (spiritually) deaf, dumb, and blind, so they return not (to the Spiritual Right Path).”

( Surat Al-Baqarah verse 17-18 )

 

“And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it. And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness (of the ego) and its righteousness (of the egolessness), Indeed he succeeds who purifies it (the soul) And indeed he fails (to use the spiritual eye/third eye, spiritual hearing and the other spiritual powers) who corrupts it (by following the ego).”

( Ash-Shams verse 7-10 )

 

Hikmah #274

“Adam was more knowledgeable than the angels because

his third eye worked better before he fell into this world.”

“Adam lebih berpengetahuan dari para malaikat karena mata ketiga

–mata batinnya bekerja lebih baik sebelum ia jatuh ke dunia ini.”

“And He (ALLAH) taught Adam all the names (of everything through Adam’s third eye so that the angels could not see nor receive those HIDDEN KNOWLEDGE), then He showed them to the angels and said, “Tell Me the names of these if you are truthful.” They (angels) said: “Glory be to You, we have no knowledge except what you have taught us. Verily, it is You, the All-Knower, the All-Wise.” He (ALLAH) said: “O Adam! Inform them of their names,” and when he had informed them of their names, He said: “Did I not tell you that I know the Ghaib (unseen) in the heavens and the earth, and I know what you reveal and what you have been concealing?” And (remember) when We said to the angels: “Prostrate yourselves before Adam.” And they prostrated except Iblis (Satan), he refused and was proud and was one of the disbelievers (disobedient to Allah).”

( Surat Al-Baqarah verse 31-34 )

 

Hikmah #275

“What our father Adam (a’layhis salam) had taught to his son Seth (a’layhis salam) and then Seth to Enoch (a’layhis salam) included Hidden Knowledge through the third eye. But people follow their ego. So, started from the time of Noah (a’layhis salam) onward, the prophets (a’layhum salam) taught the people more about Heavenly Knowledge that can be seen by their physical eyes or be understood by their limited mind.”

[In Bahasa]

“Apa yang bapak kita Adam (a’layhis salam) telah ajarkan kepada anaknya Syits (a’layhis salam) dan kemudian Nabi Syits (as) ke Idris (a’layhis salam) termasuk Ilmu-Ilmu Ladunni melalui mata ketiga –mata batin. Namun manusia mengikuti ego mereka. Sehingga, mulai dari masa Nabi Nuh (a’layhis salam), para nabi (a’layhum salam) mengajarkan manusia tentang Pengetahuan Surgawi yang lebih dapat dilihat oleh mata fisik mereka atau dipahami oleh pikiran terbatas mereka.”

Narrated Abu Hurayra radiyallahu a’nhu, reported that Allah’s Apostle (SWS) said, “If you knew (through the third eye/”Ajna”) that which I know you would laugh little and weep much.”

“The vision of the eye is limited; the vision of the heart (third eye) transcends all barriers of time and space.”

“Everyone can see what Adam, Abraham, Jesus and Muhammad (SWS) saw

through their hearts. It’s only a matter of purification of the soul from ego.”

“Semuanya dapat melihat apa yang Nabi Adam, Ibrahim,

Yesus dan Muhammad (saw.) lihat melalui kalbu mereka.

Ini hanya masalah penyucian jiwa dari ego.”

“Allah said, ‘Truly, the heavens and the earth were too weak to contain Me, but the soft, humble heart of my believing slave contains Me’.”

Hikmah #277

“Start cleansing your soul from ego by loving our father Adam,

Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Jesus Christ, Muhammad (SWS)

and the other prophets of God in all your words, works and deeds.”

[In Bahasa]

“Mulailah bersihkan jiwamu dari ego dengan mencintai bapak kita

Adam, Nuh, Ibrahim, Musa, Dawud, Isa, Muhammad (saw.) dan para

nabi Allah lainnya dalam seluruh kata-kata, karya dan amalan-amalanmu.”

Tabarani has related from Abu Utbah al-Khawlaanee (r) from RasulAllah (SWS) that, “Truly, Allah has vessels from amongst the people of the earth, and the vessels of your Lord are the hearts of his righteous slaves, and the most beloved of them to Him are the softest and most tender ones.”

~ Sayyidina Muhammad SallAllahu a’layhi wa-sallam, Al-Albani rates this hadith mentioned as Hasan [Sahih al-Jami al-Saghir, no. 2163; Silsilah al-Ahadith al-Sahihah, no. 1691]

 

Hikmah #278

“Religions cannot bring peace to the world unless their followers are free from ego.”

“Agama-Agama tak bisa membawa perdamaian bagi dunia kecuali pengikut-pengikutnya terbebas dari ego.”

“Do not become a slave of your desires (ego).”

~ Sayyiduna Shah e-Mardan Ali Ibn Abi Talib (karamullahu wajah wa radiyAllahu anhu)

 

“Indeed whosoever purifies himself (from ego) shall achieve success, and remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord, and prays.”

( Surat Al-’A`laa verse 14-15 )

 

Ibn Mas’ud (r) said: The Prophet (SWS) said: “The haughty, even with pride (of EGO) equal to a mustard seed in his heart, will not enter jannah.”

Hikmah #279

“There is no absolute justice, peace, and order on earth like in Heaven

without need of coercion, without violence, without politics like in paradise

unless all people on earth are free from ego, egoless in God’s presence

Only those who are egoless can bring Heaven with mildness on earth.”

[In Bahasa]

“Tiada keadilan, perdamaian dan ketertiban mutlak di bumi seperti di Surga

tanpa perlu pemaksaan, tanpa kekerasan, tanpa politik seperti di surga

kecuali semua orang di bumi bebas dari ego, fanafillah dalam hadirat Allah

Hanya yang fanafillah yang bisa bawa Surga ke bumi dengan kelembutan.”

“O Dawud ( David)! Verily! We have placed you as a successor on earth, so judge you between men in HAQQ (Truth) and follow not your EGO for it will mislead you from the Path of Allah. Verily! Those who wander astray from the Path of Allah (shall) have a severe torment, because they forgot the Day of Reckoning.”

( Surat Shad verse 26 )

 

“And do not send away those who (follow different faith and religion than yours, and) call upon their Lord morning and afternoon, seeking His countenance. Not upon you is anything of their account and not upon them is anything of your account. So were you to send them away, you would [then] be of the wrongdoers.”

( Surat Al-‘An`aam verse 52 )

 

Hikmah #280

“One is not a true lover of God and His prophets unless he or she is

humble, truthful, sincere, zuhud and fanafillah like all of His prophets.”

[In Bahasa]

“Seseorang bukanlah pencinta sejati Allah dan para nabi-Nya kecuali ia

rendah hati, lurus, tulus, zuhud dan fanafillah seperti semua nabi-Nya.”

“[Yusuf (Joseph) said: ] And I free not myself (from the blame). Verily, the (human) soul is inclined to evil (following their ego not God’s will), except when my Lord bestows His Mercy (upon whom He wills). Verily, my Lord is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

( Surat Yusuf verse 53 )

 

“The best form of devotion to the service of God is not to make a show of it. Live amongst people (regardless of their faith and religion) in such a manner that if you die they weep over you and if you are alive they crave for your company. A person (regardless of his/her religion) is either your brother/sister in faith or your equal in humanity.”

“And had your Lord willed, those on earth would have believed, all of them together. So, will you (O Muhammad SWS) then compel mankind, until they become believers. And it is not for a soul to believe except by permission of Allah.”

( Surat Yuunus, verses 99-100 )

 

“There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in Taghut (rejects evil) and believes in Allah, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.”

( Surat Al-Baqarah verse 256 )

 

“For each [religious following] is a direction toward which it faces. So race to [all that is] good. Wherever you may be, Allah will bring you forth [for judgement] all together. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.”

( Surat Al-Baqarah verse 148 )

 

“And to Allah belong the east and the west, so wherever you turn yourselves or your faces there is the Face of Allah. Surely! Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing.”
( Surat Al-Baqarah verse 115 )
