“For a true lover of God everyday is like a new year

Without hope, the soul is lifeless before the physical heart dies

Narrated Abu Bakrah (r): The Prophet (SWS) said. “The division of time has turned to its original form which was current when Allah created the Heavens and the Earths. The year is of twelve months, out of which four months are sacred: Three are in succession Dhul-Qa’ da, Dhul-Hijja and Muharram, and (the fourth is) Rajab of (the tribe of) Mudar which comes between Jumadi-ath-Thaniyah and Sha’ban.”

“Verily, the number of months with Allah is twelve months (in a year), so was it ordained by Allah on the Day when He created the heavens and the earth; of them four are Sacred…”

“Muharram, Safar, Rabi’ al-awwal, Rabi’ al-thani

Jumada al-awwal, Jumada al-thani, Rajab, Sha’aban

Ramadan, Shawwal, Dhul-Qa’da, Dhul-Hijja

 

Muharram, literally the “forbidden”, war is forbidden during this month.

Safar, literally the “void”, during this month the houses in ancient Makkah

remained empty and deserted

Rabi’ al-Awwal, literally “the first spring”

Rabi’ al-thani, literally “the second (or last) spring”

Jumada al-awwal, literally “the first month of parched land”

Jumada al-thani, literally, “the second (or last) month of parched land”

Rajab, literally “respect” or “honor”

Sha’aban means “the time when the road divides”

Ramadan means “scorched”

Shawwal, literally “lift or carry”

Dhul-Qa’da, literally “the one of ceasefire”

Dhul-Hijja, literally “the one of pilgrimage”

And true spirituality is beyond the literal.”

“Dhul-Qa’da, spiritually is the month of Ya’qub (Jacob) and his blessings

Dhul-Hijja, spiritually is the month of ‘Eisa (Jesus Christ) and his blessings

Muharram,spiritually is the month of Adam, Ibraheem (Abraham), and

Ishaq (Isaac) and their blessings

Rabi’ al-Awwal, is the month of the birth of our beloved Prophet (SWS)

and his spiritual blessings

Rabi’ al-thani is the month of Dawwud (David) and his blessings

Jumada al-awwal is the month of Maryam (Virgin Mary) and her blessings

Jumada al-thani is the month of Yusuf (Joseph) and his blessings

Sha’aban is the month of Noor Muhammad and its blessings

Rajab is the month of Allah, when Moses and Shah e-Mardan were born

Ramadan is the spiritual best month of the Ummah of Muhammad (SWS)

And Shawwal is the month of Harun (Aaron) and reconciliation.”

“And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are (spiritually) alive with their Lord, receiving (spiritual ethereal) provision.”

“Those who know will agree

And those who see with the third eye will know with certainty.”

“And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it. And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness (of the ego) and its righteousness (of the egolessness), Indeed he succeeds who purifies it (the soul) And indeed he fails (to use the spiritual eye/third eye, spiritual hearing and the other spiritual powers) who corrupts it (by following the ego).”

( Ash-Shams verse 7-10 )

 

“Harith ibn Malik al-Ansari (r) passed by the Prophet (SWS) who asked him, ‘How are you this morning, O Harith?’ and he replied, ‘This morning I am a true believer in Allah.’ The Prophet (SWS) said: ‘Take care of what you say, for everything has a proof to it, so what is the proof of your belief?’ He said: ‘I have turned myself away from this world by keeping awake at night and staying thirsty by day; and I can almost see the Throne of my Lord in full view before me, and I can see the people of the Garden visiting each other, and the people of the Fire wailing to each other.’ The Prophet (SWS) said, ‘O Harith! You have realized (the truth), therefore cling to it.’ Some versions add, ‘(This is) a believer whose heart Allah has illumined.”

“All prophets died on the same day or one day before or one day after they were born. Abraham (Nabi Ibrahim as.) was born on Saturday, 10 Muharram 4254 BH Hijri, which is equivalent to 26 March 3506 BC Gregorian/24 April 3506 BC Julian/10 Nisan 255 AM in Year 32 of Cycle -14 of Yiwei, Year of Wood Ram, on the Julian Day (JD) 440969.5/on the Modified Julian Day (MJD) -1959031, when the moon age was 10.3 days, Moon Synodic Period Fraction 35 % and Moon Illumination Fraction 0.8191. Nabi Ibrahim (as) also passed away on Saturday, 16 Jumada Awal 4074 BH Hijri, which is equivalent to 19 March 3331 BC Gregorian/15 April 3331 BC Julian/15 Nisan 430 AM in Year 27 of Cycle -11 of Gengyin, Year of Metal Tiger, on the Julian Day (JD) 504879.5/on the Modified Julian Day (MJD) -1895121, when the moon age was 16.33 days, Moon Synodic Period Fraction 56 % and Moon Illumination Fraction -0.9903. “And who is better in religion than one who submits himself to Allah while being a doer of good and follows the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth? And Allah took Abraham as an intimate friend.”

“And when Abraham was 86 lunisolar years old, his first son Ishmael (Nabi Ismail as.) was born on Monday, 9 Shaban 4166 BH Hijri, which is equivalent to 5 March 3420 BC Gregorian/2 April 3420 BC Julian/10 Nisan 341 AM in Year 58 of Cycle -13 of Xinyou, Year of Metal Rooster, on the Julian Day (JD) 472359.5/on the Modified Julian Day (MJD) -1927641, when the moon age was 9.56 days, Moon Synodic Period Fraction 32 % and Moon llumination Fraction 0.6626. Nabi Ismail (as) passed away on Monday, 25 Dhul Qida 4025 BH Hijri, which is equivalent to 8 April 3283 BC Gregorian/4 May 3283 BC Julian/26 Nisan 478 AM in Year 15 of Cycle -10 of Wuyin, Year of Earth Tiger, on the Julian Day (JD) 522430.5/on the Modified Julian Day (MJD) -1877570, when the moon age was 25.42 days, Moon Synodic Period Fraction 87 % and Moon Illumination Fraction -0.1879.

 

And when Abraham was 100 lunisolar years old, his second son Isaac (Nabi Ishaq as.) was born on Saturday, 14 Muharram 4151 BH Hijri, which is equivalent to 7 March 3406 BC Gregorian/4 April 3406 BC Julian/15 Nisan 355 AM in Year 12 of Cycle -12 of Yihai, Year of Wood Pig, on the Julian Day (JD) 477474.5/on the Modified Julian Day (MJD) -1922526, when the moon age was 14.98 days, Moon Synodic Period Fraction 51 % and Moon Illumination Fraction -0.9859. Nabi Ishaq (as) also passed away on Saturday, 15 Shaban 3966 BH Hijri, which is equivalent to 29 March 3226 BC Gregorian/24 April 3226 BC Julian/15 Nisan 535 AM in Year 12 of Cycle -9 of Yihai, Year of Wood Pig, on the Julian Day (JD) 543239.5/On the Modified Julian Day (MJD) -1856761, when the moon age was 16.06 days, Moon Synodic Period Fraction 54 % and Moon Illumination Fraction -0.9918.And all prophets died on the same day or one day before or one day after they were born.”

 

“Praise to Allah, who has granted to me in old age Ishmael and Isaac. Indeed, my Lord is the Hearer of supplication.My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and [many] from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication. Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers the Day the account is established.”

( Surat ‘Ibraahiim verse 39-41 )

“And when Isaac was 60 lunisolar years old, Jacob (Nabi Yaqub as.) was born on Saturday, 13 Dhul Qida 4090 BH Hijri which is equivalent to 3 March 3346 BC Gregorian/30 March 3346 BC Julian/14 Nisan 415 AM in Year 12 of Cycle -11 of Yihai, Year of Wood Pig, on the Julian Day (JD) 499384.5/on the Modified Julian Day (MJD) -1900616, when the moon age was 13.33 days, Moon Synodic Period Fraction 45 % and Moon Illumination Fraction 0.9925. Nabi Yaqub (as) also passed away on Saturday, 15 Jumada Thanee 3938 BH Hijri, which is equivalent to 30 March 3199 BC Gregorian/25 April 3199 BC Julian/15 Nisan 562 AM in Year 39 of Cycle -9 of Renyin, Year of Water Tiger, on the Julian Day (JD) 553102.5/on the Modified Julian Day (MJD) -1846898, when the moon age was 15.89 days, Moon Synodic Period Fraction 54 % and Moon Illumination Fraction -0.9969 at the age of 147 lunisolar years old.And all prophets died on the same day or one day before or one day after they were born.”

 

“He [Ya’qub (Jacob) ] said: “I only complain of my grief and sorrow to Allah, and I know from Allah that which you know not. “O my sons! Go you and enquire about Yusuf (Joseph) and his brother, and NEVER GIVE UP HOPE OF ALLAH’s MERCY. Certainly no one despairs of Allah’s Mercy, except the people who disbelieve.”

“And when Jacob was 74 lunisolar years old, Joseph (Nabi Yuusuf as.) was born on Friday, 26 Jumada Thanee 4013 BH Hijri, which is equivalent to 5 July 3272 BC Gregorian/31 July 3272 BC Julian/27 Tammuz 489 AM in Year 26 of Cycle -10 of Jichou, Year of the Earth Ox, on the Julian Day (JD) 526536.5/On the Modified Julian Day (MJD) -1873464, when the moon age was 26.87 days, Moon Synodic Period Fraction 91 % and Moon Illumination Fraction -0.0836. Nabi Yuusuf (as) passed away at the age of 110 lunisolar years and 351 days old on Friday, 25 Dhul Qida 3899 BH Hijri, which is equivalent to 6 July 3161 BC Gregorian/1 August 3161 BC Julian/25 Tammuz 600 AM in Year 17 of Cycle -8 of Gengchen, Year of Metal Dragon, on the Julian Day (JD) 567080.5/on the Modified Julian Day (MJD) -1832920, when the moon age was 26.14 days, Moon Synodic Period Fraction 89 % and Moon Illumination Fraction -0.1289.And all prophets died on the same day or one day before or one day after they were born.”

 

“[Yusuf (Joseph) said]: My Lord! You have indeed bestowed on me of the sovereignty, and taught me the interpretation of dreams; The (only) Creator of the heavens and the earth! You are my Wali (Protector, Helper, Supporter, Guardian, etc.) in this world and in the Hereafter, cause me to die as “one submitting to Your Will” (or translated in Arabic as: “Muslim”), and join me with the righteous.”

Hikmah #269

“And 330 lunisolar years after the yahrzeit of Ya’akov Avinu (Jacob/Nabi Yaqub as.), Aaron (Nabi Harun as.) was born on Friday Night, 29 Shawwal 3598 BH Hijri, which is equivalent to 24 June 2869 BC Gregorian/17 July 2869 BC Julian/1 Av 892 AM in Year 9 of Cycle -3 of Renshen, Year of Water Monkey, on the Julian Day (JD) 673718.5/On the Modified Julian Day (MJD) -1726282, when the moon age was 29.02 days, Moon Synodic Period Fraction 99 % and Moon Illumination Fraction -0.0029. Nabi Harun (as) passed away at the age of 123 lunisolar years on Friday, 30 Shaban 3471 BH Hijri, which is equivalent to 16 July 2746 BC Gregorian/8 August 2746 BC Julian/1 Av 1015 AM in Year 12 of Cycle -1 of Yihai, Year of Wood Pig, on the Julian Day (JD) 718665.5/on the Modified Julian Day (MJD) -1681335, when the moon age was 0.89 days, Moon Synodic Period Fraction 3 % and Moon Illumination Fraction 0.008.And all prophets died on the same day or one day before or one day after they were born.

 

And Moses (Nabi Musa as), who fought against the last Pharaoh of the first Dynasty Horus Ba, was born on Saturday Evening Maghreb), 7 Rajab 3595 BH Hijri, which is equivalent to 2 February 2866 BC Gregorian/25 February 2866 BC Julian/7 Adar 895 AM in Year 12 of Cycle -3 of Yihai, Year of Wood Pig, on the Julian Day (JD) 674671.5/on the Modified Julian Day (MJD) -1725329, when the moon age was 6.71 days, Moon Synodic Period Fraction 23 % and Moon Illumination Fraction 0.3851. Nabi Musa (as) passed away one month before the children of Israel led by Joshua (Nabi Yusyu’a bin Nun as.) went up from the Jordan and camped at Gilgal on the eastern border of Jericho, also on Saturday Evening, 9 Rabee Thanee 3471 BH Hijri, which is equivalent to 27 February 2746 BC Gregorian/22 March 2746 BC Julian/10 Adar II 1015 AM in Year 12 of Cycle -1 of Yihai, Year of Wood Pig, on the Julian Day (JD) 718526.5/on the Modified Julian Day (MJD) -1681474, when the moon age was 9 days, Moon Synodic Period Fraction 31 % and Moon Illumination Fraction 0.7078.And all prophets died on the same day or one day before or one day after they were born.”

 

“They said: “We believe in the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). The Lord of Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron).”

Hikmah #270

“And 450 lunisolar years after the yahrzeit of Moshe Rabbenu (Moses/Nabi Musa as.) or around 50 years before the Cuneiform script of 1800 complete tablets and 4700 fragments of Ebla Tablets were written, David (Nabi Dawud as.) was born on Saturday evening, 6 Rabee Thanee 3007 BH Hijri, which is equivalent to 2 May 2296 BC Gregorian/21 May 2296 BC Julian/6 Sivan 1465 AM in Year 42 of Cycle 6 of Yisi, the Year of Earth Snake, on the Julian Day (JD) 882949.5/on the Modified Julian Day (MJD) -1517051, when the moon age was 6.04 days, Moon Synodic Period Fraction 20 % and Moon Illumination Fraction 0.3107. According to Hadith, Nabi Dawud lived for 100 hijri (Islamic calendar) years. Nabi Dawud became King of Judah at the age of 30. He led his people in exile outside Hebron for 30 lunar years and reigned over Judah in Hebron for 7 lunar years. He became King of Israel, after the death of King Saul (Talut), at the age of (30+30+7) = 67 lunar years old and reigned over Israel in Jerusalem for about 33 lunar years. Thus, Nabi Dawud as. lived for about (30+30+7+33) = 100 lunar years, which is equivalent to 100 hijri years and 353 days. Nabi Dawud passed away at the hour of Sabbath minchah prayers/Saturday afternoon, which based on Torah (Kitab Taurat) is a time of grace. The date was 5 Rabee Thanee 2906 BH Hijri, which is equivalent to 30 April 2198 BC Gregorian/18 May 2198 BC Julian/5 Sivan 1563 AM in Year 20 of Cycle 8 of Guiwei, Year of Water Ram, on the Julian Day (JD) 918740.5/on the Modified Julian Day (MJD) -1481260, when the moon age was 5.95 days, Moon Synodic Period Fraction 20 % and Moon Illumination Fraction 0.3297. Nabi Dawud (King David), was one of many prophets of Israel who passed away on Saturday afternoon. And all prophets died on the same day or one day before or one day after they were born.”

“Verily, We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him. And we revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the Descendants, Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We gave the book [of Psalms]. And [We sent] messengers about whom We have related [their stories] to you before and messengers about whom We HAVE NOT related to you. And Allah spoke to Moses with [direct] speech. [We sent] messengers as bringers of good tidings and warners so that mankind will have no argument against Allah after the messengers. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise.”

( Surat An-Nisaa’ verses 163-165 )

“Waarlijk wij hebben u geopenbaard, zooals wij Noach openbaarden en de profeten, die hem opvolgden; zooals wij aan Abraham openbaarden, en Ismaël, en Izaak en Jacob en de stammen, en aan Jezus, aan Job, aan Jonas, aan Aäron, aan Salomo; en wij gaven de psalmen aan David. Und Wir haben Ibrahim, Isma’il, Ishaq, Ya’qub, den Stämmen, “Isa, Ayyub, Yunus, Harun und Sulaiman (Offenbarung) eingegeben, und Dawud haben Wir ein Buch der Weisheit gegeben. Und (Wir sandten) Gesandte, über die Wir dir schon zuvor berichtet haben, und andere, über die Wir dir NICHT BERICHTET haben, und zu Musa hat Allah unmittelbar gesprochen. Gesandte als Verkünder froher Botschaft und als Überbringer von Warnungen, damit die Menschen nach den Gesandten kein Beweismittel gegen Allah haben. Und Allah ist Allmächtig und Allweise.”

( Surat An-Nisaa’ verse 163-165 )

“Sesungguhnya Kami telah memberikan wahyu kepadamu sebagaimana Kami telah memberikan wahyu kepada Nuh dan nabi-nabi yang kemudiannya, dan Kami telah memberikan wahyu (pula) kepada Ibrahim, Isma’il, Is-haaq, Ya’qub dan anak cucunya, I’sa, Ayyub, Yunus, Harun dan Sulayman. Dan Kami berikan Zabur kepada Dawud. Dan (Kami telah mengutus) rasul-rasul yang sungguh telah Kami kisahkan tentang mereka kepadamu dahulu, dan rasul-rasul yang Kami TIDAK KISAHKAN tentang mereka kepadamu. Dan Allah telah berbicara kepada Musa dengan langsung. (Mereka Kami utus) selaku rasul-rasul pembawa berita gembira dan pemberi peringatan agar supaya tidak ada alasan bagi manusia membantah Allah sesudah diutusnya rasul-rasul itu. Dan adalah Allah Maha Perkasa lagi Maha Bijaksana.”
