“Without under the guidance and support of
a perfect spiritual guide ( Insan Kamil ), one
can become crazy or even die while trying
to master fasting of the heart and the soul
for the battle can become hard unbearable.”

“Jabir (Allah be pleased with him) narrates; “The Prophet of Allah (Allah bless him and grant him peace) returned from one of his battles, and thereupon told us, ‘You have arrived with an excellent arrival, you have come from al-jihad al-asghar (lesser jihad) to al-jihad al-akbar (greater jihad) – the striving of a servant (of Allah) against his ego.'”

Abram in the desert only with
Ishmael alone but stayed calm,
never cried nor complained to
Allah for she mastered fasting
of the heart, empty the heart
from anything but Allah Allah.”

whole community isolated him
and his best friends mocked and
left him but Job kept calm, never
wailed to God for he mastered
